They've just gained a new son, now Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to give something a... Brangelina's new gift..

The couple have donated the sum to help build a medical facility in the Duk County region of Sudan, after becoming aware of the project through its founder John Dau.

A former so-called 'Lost Boy' of Sudan, Dau's life story was featured in the acclaimed documentary God Grew Tired Of Us, which Brad executive produced.

In a statement, Dau said: "Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt demonstrate the American spirit of generosity. Hopefully, their donation will inspire others to join with us to rebuild Southern Sudan."

Other celebrities have already pledged their allegiance to the cause, particularly over the genocide in Darfur - the most high-profile being George Clooney.
