The money-raising scheme has been hatched as part of a new event being held on the eve of the Craigmillar Park Open, one of the top amateur tournaments in Scotland.

The Golf Finance Charity Am-Am will be played on Friday, April 13 and aims to raise £10,000, to be split between the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, the Marie Curie Cancer Trust and SPARKS.

"If we can get say ten to 15 celebrities selling for between £100 and £500 to join up with the elite amateur and the other two team members, we should be able to boost the money raised by £1000 or more."

Former Hibs and Scotland goalkeeper Alan Rough has said he'll play in the event and organisers will be hoping he can persuade his Real Radio sidekick, Ewen Cameron, to come along, too.
