Syndicate | Somebody find the Mirror a new phone scandal. Quick. After weeks of attacking the premium r... Take That join Diana tribute...by adminAfter weeks of attacking the premium rate voting and competition lines, the Mirror seems to have run out of news. Instead their headline this morning is that Take That have agreed to take part in this July's Princess Diana tribute concert. Admittedly they're still doing better than the Daily Star, who haven't so much run out of news as run out of celebrities to feature. So they've gone with a story on Danielle Lloyd. Again. This time, Danielle - a women otherwise famous for sleeping with a footballer and appearing to be a racist on national TV - is talking about her breast cancer scare. Two years ago, she discovered a lump in her recently silicone-augmented breast. She was so terrified it might be cancer that she didn't do anything about it for months. She was even too scared to talk about it with her mum. The Daily Mail also sticks with favourite subjects. You can almost hear them rubbing their hands in glee that they can combine three of their top stories - the evil of drugs, the evil of video games, the evil of a Labour Government that lets these things happen - in one violent story. The story is of Ezekiel Maxwell, a paranoid schizophrenic, who murdered grandmother Carmelita Johnson after smoking loads of skunk and playing Grand Theft Auto. Maxwell claimed that 'gangster voices' from the 'ultra-violent computer game' made him stab her seven times. The murderer started smoking - and taking cocaine - at the age of 14. The problem though is clearly the legalisation of drugs, rather than, say, his parents who let him get away with it. If their weapons failed but they had a chance to fly into a vehicle carrying an al-Qaeda commander, would they go Kamikaze in the war on terror? This is cache, read story here |
